Shannon Falls is BC's third-highest waterfall, tumbling 335 metres/1,099 feet down the granite cliff face. Shannon Falls Provincial Park (87 hectares) is very popular for locals and visitors alike. It's a great place to enjoy a picnic and go hiking. A short walk leads to two viewing platforms from which the waterfall can really be appreciated.
There is a concessions and information centre along the trail to the falls, providing snacks, information and souvenirs.
During the summer the car park (pay and display) fills up quickly.
Camping is available nearby in Stawamus Chief Provincial Park.
The Klahanie restaurant opposite the falls across the highway have great panoramic windows overlooking the waterfall.
Getting here: Shannon Falls Provincial Park is located immediately adjacent to Hwy 99 58 kilometres north of Vancouver and 2 kilometres south of Squamish. The park is signposted, visitors travelling northbound should turn right (southbound turn left).
