Whistler is a world-class ski resort two hours north of Vancouver. It has two mountains, Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain. Whistler Mountain is part of the Fitzsimmons Range and has an elevation of 2,181 meters. It is an absolute Mecca for skiers and snowboarders alike during the winter, while in the summer the mountain belongs to mountain bikers and tourists. There is a gondola that can be taken up it and from the Roundhouse stop there is another more precarious ride up the glacier. The gondola ride is very scenic and maybe you'll even spot some bears along the way!

Getting here: drive north on Hwy 99 to Whistler (two hours from Vancouver, one from Squamish).
